Domain name prices are going to go up

In a recent announcement from VeriSign, they are planning to increase the domain name registration charges. Once VeriSign increases the domain name registration charges, the consumer domain registrars such as Godaddy, Name.com, Namecheap etc will increase the charge as well. Once this is increased, the domain name charges are expected to grow by around 10%.
How is it going to affect you? If you hold any domain names or plan to register new domain name, you will be required to pay a higher fess once it is in effect. It would be better to register or renew these domain names before the price change. It will help you save some money doing domain registrations.
It is good to have a domain name of your own when you have some interest in the internet. If you are reading this blog, regularly, it shows your interest. With a domain name, you can get free and customized email address from Google, a website or collaboration site for friends and who knows, it would become the Facebook of tomorrow.
